PDF Converter with OCR App Reviews

Well for me it didn’t work all that well, strange so many 5 star reviews, one page at a time like mentioned. It is slow and didn’t acuratly come close to transfering a scanned document with very ledgible typed codes on a piece of paper that I was trying to save time from having to type all of them in. All the images got moved all over the place when converted to a Word Document. Glad it was not more than $13 or I would have been pretty upset.

I had been given a PDF that had been scanned and emailed from a copier, so the entire text was an image PDF only. It was my task to take it to an editable Microsoft Word format for further editing by other personnel. After a bit of research, it seemed like this program was exactly what I was looking for. After purchase [at a generous discount price] I had my document converted after about 90 seconds of processing. The interface could not be easier to use, and the results were almost perfect. There might have been a scant few points in the text that would require touch up in Word, but 99.8% perfect is wonderful in my book. After 28 years of intermittent OCR experience, this is the first time that I can declare that the technology has delivered for me. My company’s money was well spent on this product!

I was certainly reluctant to purchase after a few of the negative reviews. The app worked great and converted several pages for me with a 99% accuracy and within 5 seconds. I am running a new iMac so not sure if others are on older versions and so slower, but I am really happy with the time this application will save me at work.

Tried many times - get’s stuck.

It is seemingly so tiny and simple while open, but acturally it is such an powerful and professional tool. The batch conversion process is pretty fast, the ouput quality is satisfying for me, it is what I am looking for all these days, thanks for this useful app, do me a great favor to relieve my work burden.

This program does a great job taking text and then making it editable in several programs. Most frequently I need to edit in Microsoft Word. This program does a horrible job copying anything other than text. For example, lines, boxes, check boxes, circles, etc to not convert well at all. Graphice seem to work well but many of my PDF fiels have check boxes and radio circles. These to not carry over/convert. I do not reccomend this product at all.

I’ve thrown a variety of PDFs, including complex forms, at this program and its handled them all with aplomb. Admittedly, it’s not going to create a pixel perfect Word version of the PDF form, but it gives me something I can work with. I’ve also thrown it a 130-page PDF messy policy manual and it was able to convert that into something usable. Highly recommended.

I spent $12.99 and all it does it put image files into a WORD or Pages doc. DON’T BUY IT!

This is a piece of crap. The high ratings must have been written by the company itself. The editing space is tiny, there doesn’t appear to be a function for converting a single page or section, the menus are minimal. There is a convenient preview function, from which you can cut and paste for use in Eord, etc., but it is hit or miss as to whether it will give you the whole page or section (text/graphic box) you requested. Extremely user-unfriendly. A waste of money.

This app helps me turn PDF into any format document as I wish, the speed is fast, works well in everyway, and brings me much surprising results, I like this excellent partner!

I have used, and rejecrted a numbver of these programs because I am a heavy OCR user, and dont have time for nonsense. This packge is far faster, and more accurate than anything i have usedc to date. Even the formatting is preserved better than any other OCR software.

Do not purchase when you need a program to convert multiple files at once. Even converting a single file is time consuming and not sufficiently automated. Unfortunatelly I can’t return the program, if I could I would do it immediately.

Couldnt be easier take a .pdf drop it, and convert it to the format you want .pages or .docx and away you go edit to your hearts desire. I like things that are easy & work like they should. This app gets 2 thumbs up from me (and I dont review many apps)
